Vikings claim running back De'Angelo Henderson, release running back Roc Thomas

Vikings made some changes to their backfield before the start of training camp.

On Wednesday NFL Network announced that Minnesota had claimed former Jets running back De'Angelo Henderson.

The 26-year-old was drafted in the sixth round by the Broncos in 2017. He spent one season in Denver before being waived and being picked up by the Jets. He spent one season in New York before being released this offseason.

Henderson has played in a total of eight games in two seasons and has amassed nine rushing attempts for 32 rushing yards along with nine receptions for 36 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

Upon signing the veteran rusher the Vikings released running back Roc Thomas. Thomas was suspended on Tuesday for the first three games of the 2019 season.
