Just two days after being released by the Packers, defensive tackle Mike Daniels has found a new team for the 2019 season.

On Friday ESPN reported that the 30-year-old veteran signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions worth up to $9.1 million with $7.8 million in guaranteed money.

The fourth round pick out of Iowa has spent his entire seven year NFL career with the Packers before his release.

The addition of Daniels adds size and depth to a defense that finished 10th in total defense last season. It also keeps the Pro Bowler in the NFC North division and facing his former team twice this season.
