J.J. Wilcox's 2019 season ended before it even began.

On Monday the Falcons announced that the 28-year-old had torn his ACL during practice and would miss the entire season.

Wilcox spent last season with the Colts and was brought in to compete for a reserve safety spot along with Sharrod Neasman, Chris Cooper, Jason Thompson, Ryan Neal and Parker Baldwin.

The injury makes it likely Wilcox will not make the team's final 53-man roster.
