Bengals suffered a loss to their receiving corp just two days into their training camp.

On Sunday ESPN reported that wide receiver A.J. Green had suffered torn ligaments in his left ankle and would miss the next six to eight weeks.

The timetable means the veteran receiver will likely miss the season opener on September 8th.

Green went down during practice on Saturday and had to be carted off the field. While the extent of the injury wasn't as severe as initially speculated, the missed time will put pressure on Tyler Boyd and Josh Malone at the start of the season.

The 7x Pro Bowler missed seven games last season with a toe injury.
