Sam Bradford was hopeful to make an impact on the field this season after suffering a season ending injury early last season. His hopes have been dashed before the regular season even started.
Head coach Jeff Fisher announced Sunday that Bradford is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. This was the second time he suffered the injury to the same knee.
The injury happened when Cleveland's defensive end Armonty Bryant made contact with Bradford's knee on a passing play. Bradford fell to the ground but eventually limped off on his own power. He went to the locker room for further examination.
Bradford will be replaced by quarterback Shaun Hill for the season.
