The Chicago Bears have found their number three receiver. The team has agreed to terms with former New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes.
ESPN first reported the Bears worked out Holmes earlier this week.
Holmes had his season with the Steelers in 2009 when he made 79 receptions for 1,248 yards and was named Super Bowl XLIII MVP. He has been plagued with injuries since then missing 12 games for the Jets in 2012 with a Lisfranc injury and playing in just 11 games last games last season.
Bears are in need of a stud No. 3 after losing receiver Marquess Wilson to a fractured clavicle earlier this month.
If Holmes can stay healthy he can be the quality receiver the Bears need over Eric Weems and Josh Morgan.
