Geno Smith has found a new place to play quarterback next season.

On Wednesday the Seattle Seahawks signed the 28-year-old as a backup to Russell Wilson.

This is Smith's fourth team in six years. He's previously played for the Jets, Giants and Chargers.

Smith will compete against Paxton Lynch for the backup role for 2019.

Wilson has missed a total of two games in his seven year NFL career so whoever is the backup will rarely if ever see playing time.

In his six year NFL career Smith has completed 523 passes for 6,182 passing yards and 29 passing touchdowns along with 661 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.
