Reuben Foster's new start has suffered a major setback.

On Monday Ian Rapoport reported that the 25-year-old had suffered a season-ending torn ACL.

The injury occurred earlier in the day during the first day of the Redskins organized team activities. Foster crumbled to the ground in obvious pain and had to be carted off the field. The team suspected the worst had occurred and those suspicions were later confirmed.

The 6'1/228 pound veteran was claimed by Washington last November after his second arrest for domestic violence, this time in Florida. Charges were later dropped and Foster was able to practice with the team and was fined two game checks for the incident.

Foster is now not likely to return to the field before the 2020 season.
