Taylor Lewan will miss the first quarter of the 2019 season.

On Wednesday the 28-year-old offensive tackle posted a video on his Twitter to announce his pending suspension for violation of the NFL's policy on the use of performance enhancing drugs.

A tearful Lewan said he was unaware that a banned substance, ostarine, was contained within supplements he had been taking for years and took a lie detector test to prove his innocence. He apologized to the Tennessee Titans and their fans for the failed test and suspension.

On Thursday the veteran offensive lineman said he will be appealing his suspension. Currently the 6'7/309 pound Pro Bowler will be available to practice and play through training camp and preseason but won't be available to hit the field in the regular season until Week 5 vs. Buffalo.
