On Wednesday NFL Network reported that the Packers released the 30-year-old defensive tackle.
The Pro Bowler was drafted by the team in the fourth round in 2012 and has spent his entire seven year NFL career in Green Bay.
Since his release Daniels has met with the Browns in hopes of finding a new place to play this season.
In his seven year NFL career the 6 foot/291 pound lineman has amassed 225 tackles, 29 sacks, five pass deflections, one interception and two forced fumbles.
