Week 7 Predictions

Finished a pathetic 5-9 last week so need to improve..let's go

Seattle Seahawks (4-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (4-2)

Seahawks come in off a win last week against the Patriots at home. QB Russell Wilson completed 16 of 27 for 293 yds and 3 TDs with WR Sidney Rice catching 1. RB Marshawn Lynch was a non factor in the game but their defense is one of the top in the league. 49ers come in off a loss last week against the Giants at home. QB Alex Smith had his worst game of the season so far throwing 3 INTs. The defense struggled last week but is still one of the better ones in the league. Prediction: 49ers

Tennessee Titans (2-4) vs Buffalo Bills (3-3)

Titans come in off a win last week against the Steelers at home. QB Matt Hasselbeck completed 25 of 44 for 290 yds 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Chris Johnson has yet to score a TD this season. Titans defense played well in the last game, but the inconsistency week to week is their biggest problem. Bills come in off a win last week against the Cardinals in Arizona. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 18 of 32 for 153 yds but 0 TDs. WR Stevie Johnson made 6 receptions for 82 yds. RB CJ Spiller rushed for 88 yds on 12 carries and 1 TD. Bills have a mediocre defense which is going to be detrimental in their division. Prediction: Bills

Cleveland Browns (1-5) vs Indianapolis Colts (2-3)

Browns come in off a win against the Bengals at home. QB Brandon Weeden completed 17 of 29 for 231 yds 2 TDs and 1 INT with WR Josh Gordon making 3 receptions for 99 yds and 1 TD. Browns defense finally stepped up last week but if they don't play better against the pass consistently this season will be a disaster. Colts come in off a loss last week against the Jets in New York. QB Andrew Luck threw 2 INTs and 0 TDs. RB Donald Brown  has only scored 1 TD so far this season. Colts needs more out of their offense to keep their defense from tiring out before the end of games. Prediction: Colts

Baltimore Ravens (5-1) vs Houston Texans (5-1)

Ravens come in off a win last week against the Cowboys at home. QB Joe Flacco completed 17 of 26 for 234 yds and 1 TD. RB Ray Rice rushed for 63 yds on 16 carries and 2 TDs. Ravens have a top 5 defense, but will be w/o LB Ray Lewis for the rest of the season but will have LB Terrell Suggs back this week though he and S Ed Reed will be playing with injuries which may make a difference as time goes on. Texans come in off a loss to the Packers at home. QB Matt Schaub had his worse game of the season so far throwing 2 INTs and 0 TDs. RB Arian Foster rushed for 2 TDs. Texans defense is one of the top 5 in the league though struggled some last week. Expect a good battle in this one. Prediction: Texans

Green Bay Packers (3-3) vs St. Louis Rams (3-3)

Packers come in off a win last week against the Texans in Houston. QB Aaron Rodgers had his best game so far this season completing 24 of 37 for 338 yds and 6 TDs with WR Jordy Nelson making 6 receptions for 121 yds and 3 of those TDs. RB Alex Green will need to make more of an impact in the coming weeks with RB Cedric Benson out for the season. Packers defense is in the middle of the field in the league having suffered injuries to key players. Rams come in off a loss last week against the Dolphins in Miami. QB Sam Bradford did not throw a TD in that game but completed 26 of 39 for 315 yds. RB Steven Jackson has yet to rush for a TD this season. Rams have one of the worst ranked defenses which has been their biggest issue. Prediction: Packers

New Orleans Saints (1-4) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3)

Saints come in off a bye last week. QB Drew Brees has thrown for 1720 yds, 14 TDs and 6 INTs so far this season making him 1 of the most prolific passers. Saints running back by committee has only scored 1 TD between the 3 RBs (Sproles, Ingram, Thomas) so far this season. Saints defense has struggled tremendously but will have LB Jonathan Vilma back this week. Buccaneers come in off a win last week against the Chiefs at home. QB Josh Freeman completed 15 of 26 for 328 yds, 3 TDs and 1 INT with WR Vincent Jackson catchiing 2 of those TDs. Bucs defense ranks in the middle of the pack and has some inconsistency. Prediction: Buccaneers

Dallas Cowboys (2-3) vs Carolina Panthers (1-4)

Cowboys come in off a loss last week against the Ravens in Baltimore. QB Tony Romo completed 25 of 36 for 261 yds 2 TDs and 1 INT with WR Dez Bryant catching both TDs. RB DeMarco Murray has still only rushed for 1 TD and Cowboys have had issues on defense at the end of games. Panthers come in off a bye last week. QB Cam Newton has thrown for 1154 yds 4 TDs and 5 INTs so  far this season. RB DeAngelo Williams has rushed for just 173 yds and 2 TDs so far. Panthers defense is ranked near the bottom of the league making this a long tough season. Prediction: Cowboys

Arizona Cardinals (4-2) vs Minnesota Vikings (4-2)

Cardinals come in off a loss last week against the Bills at home. QB Kevin Kolb completed 14 of 26 for 128 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT but QB John Skelton will start today. WR Larry Fitzgerald caaught the lone TD. RB Ryan Williams has yet to score a TD this season, but Cards have been effective on defense keeping games close. Vikings come in off a loss last week against the Redskins in Washington. QB Christian Ponder completed 25 of 52 for 352 yds, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. WR Percy Harvin made 11 receptions for 133 yds but still only has 1 TD so far this season and RB Adrian Peterson still only has 2. Vikings have a good defense which should help them as the season continues. Prediction: Vikings

Washington Redskins (3-3) vs New York Giants (4-2)

Redskins come in off a win last week against the Vikings at home. QB Robert Griffin III completed 17 of 22 for 182 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT but also rushed for 138 yds on 13 carries and 2 additional TDs. RB Alfred Morris rushed for 1 TD too. Redskins defense runs hot and cold week to week and need to find a way to be more consistent. Giants come in off a win last week against the 49ers in San Francisco. QB Eli Manning completed 15 of 28 for 193 yds and 1 TD with WR Victor Cruz catching the lone TD. RB Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 116 yds on 27 carries and 1 TD. Giants defense is in the top half of the league despite some key injuries. Prediction: Giants

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) vs Oakland Raiders (1-4)

Jaguars come in off a bye last week. QB Blaine Gabbert has thrown for 796 yds, 5 TDs and 3 INTs this season. RB Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 408 yds and 1 TD so far. Jags defense is in the lower third of the league in yards allowed which has been detrimental in all their games. Raiders come in off a loss last week against the Falcons in Atlanta. QB Carson Palmer completed 23 of 33 for 353 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Darren McFadden rushed for 1 additional TD. Raiders have a low ranked defense which is their achilles heel. Prediction: Raiders

New York Jets (3-3) vs New England Patriots (3-3)

Jets come in off a win last week against the Colts at home. QB Mark Sanchez only passed for 82 yds but did complete 2 TDs. RB Shonn Greene rushed for 161 yds on 32 carries and 3 TDs. Jets defense is struggling without Revis but need to find a way to be more effective in the secondary. Patriots come in off a loss against the Seahawks in Seattle. QB Tom Brady completed 36 of 58 for 395 yds, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. WR Wes Welker had 10 receptions for 138 yds and 1 TD. Patriots defense is ranked in the middle of the pack making for closer games than anticipated. Prediction: Patriots

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3) vs Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)

Steelers come in off a loss last week against the Titans in Tennessee. QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of 40 for 363 yds 1 TD and 1 INT. The running game has not been a factor and their defense is struggling with so many players lost or playing with injuries. Bengals come in off a loss last week against the Browns in Cleveland. QB Andy Dalton completed 31 of 46 for 381 yds 3 TDs and 3 INTs with WR AJ Green making 7 receptions for 135 yds and 2 TDs. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for 1 additional TD. Bengals have a midpack defense which can make it hard on them as the season progresses. Prediction: Steelers

Detroit Lions (2-3) vs Chicago Bears (4-1)

Lions come in off a win last week against the Eagles in Philadelphia. QB Matthew Stafford completed 22 of 45 for 311 yds 1 TD and 1 INT. WR Calvin Johnson has only caught 1 TD so far this season. RB Mikel LeShoure has also only rushed for 1 TD. Lions defense has fallen to the lower third and not been as effective as predicted in preseason. Bears come in off a win last week against the Jaguars. QB Jay Cutler completed 22 of 39 for 292 yds, 2 TDs and 1 INT with WR Brandon Marshall making 12 receptions for 144 yds and 1 TD. RB Matt Forte rushed for 107 yds last week but still has only scored 1 TD so far this season. Bears has a high ranked defense which should keep them competitive in their division. Prediction: Bears
