Week 6 Predictions

Finished a good 10-4 last week. So let's get started:

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2) vs Tennessee Titans (1-4)

Steelers come in off a win last week against the Eagles at home. QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 22 of 38 for 220 yds and 1 TD. Steelers defense and running backs have been badly banged up with several players missing games. With so many key injuries, this season is going to be a struggle for them. Titans come in off a loss last week to the Vikings in Minnesota. This team is struggling to find an indentity. QB Matt Hasselbeck completed 26 of 43 for 200 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Chris Johnson has yet to score a TD this season. Titans defense has been terrible through the first 5 games. If they don't find a way to score more and stop opponents from racking up yards, this is going to be a long season: Prediction: Steelers

Dallas Cowboys (2-2) vs Baltimore Ravens (4-1)

Cowboys come in off a loss last week to the Bears at home. QB Tony Romo had his worst game so far throwing 5 INTs to just 1 TD. Their running game has been inefficient and defense ineffective. Cowboys have got to get more consistency if they hope to be competitive this season. Ravens come in off a win against the Chiefs last week in Kansas City. QB Joe Flacco finished last week with 0 TDs and 1 INT in a FG only game. RB Ray Rice rushed for 102 yds but hasnt scored a TD in 2 weeks. Ravens have a top 5 defense which has been instrumental in keeping them winning. Prediction: Ravens

St. Louis Rams (3-2) vs Green Bay Packers (2-3)

With their pattern of lose-win-lose-win-lose..expect Packers to get the win. Prediction: Packers

Detroit Lions (1-3) vs Philadelphia Eagles (3-2)

Lions come in off a bye last week. QB Matthew Stafford has completed just 3 TDs to 4 INTs so far this season. Both WR Calvin Johnson and RB Mikel LeShoure have only scored 1 TD. This team's offense is anemic and defense has been disappointing. Eagles come in off a loss last week against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. QB Michael Vick completed 20 of 30 for 175 yds and 2 TDs. RB LeSean McCoy hasn't scored a TD since week 2. The defense started off quick, but has falterd in the last few weeks. They need a win to stay competitive in their division. Prediction: Eagles

Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) vs Cleveland Browns (0-5)

Bengals come in off a loss last week against the Dolpins at home. QB Andy Dalton struggled in this game completing 26 of 43 for 234 yds, 1 TD and 2 INTs with WR AJ Green catching the lone TD. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis has only rushed for 300 yds and 2 TDs so far this season. Bengals defense has got to find a way to keep consistently winning. Browns come in off a loss last week against the Giants in New York. QB Brandon Weeden completed 22 of 35 for 291 yds 2 TDs and 2 INTs with WR Josh Gordon catching both TDs. RB Trent Richardson rushed for 81 yds on 17 carries for an additional TD. Browns defense has been a disaster in the fourth quarter. This game could go either way. Prediction: Bengals

Indianapolis Colts (2-2) vs New York Jets (2-3)

Colts come in off a surprising win last week over the Packers at home. QB Andrew Luck completed 31 of 55 for 362 yds, 2 TDs and 1 INT. WR Reggie Wayne made 13 receptions for 212 yds and 1 of those TDs. RB Donald Brown is out this game with a knee injury. The defense will need to play like last week the rest of the season. Jets come in off a loss last week to the Texans at home. QB Mark Sanchez completed 14 of 31 for 230 yds, 1 TD and 2 INTs. The running game was shut down last week and Jets defense has looked pathetic in their losses. This should be a close game. Prediction: Jets

Kansas City Chiefs (1-4) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3)

Chiefs come in off a last week against the Ravens at home. QB Matt Cassel threw 0 TDs and 2 INTs before being injured during the game. He will be out for this game. RB Jamaal Charles rushed for 140 yds on 31 carries. QB Brady Quinn will get the start this week so Chiefs defense will need to play a much better game. Bucs come in off a bye last week. QB Josh Freeman has passed for 790 yds, 5 TDs and 4 INTs so far this season with WR Vincent Jackson receiving 2 of them. RB Doug Martin has rushed for only 247 yds and 1 TD. Bucs defense has not lived up to the potential they possess and will be without CB Aqib Talib for 4 games. Prediction: Buccaneers

Oakland Raiders (1-3) vs Atlanta Falcons (5-0)

Raiders come in off a bye last week. QB Carson Palmer has passed for 1081 yds, 5 TDs and 2 INTs. RB Darren McFadden has rushed for just 201 yds and 1 TD. Raiders defense ranks in the bottom half of the league. Falcons come in off a win last week against the Redskins in Washington. QB Matt Ryan completed 34 of 52 for 345 yds, 2 TDs and 1 INT with TE Tony Gonzalez making 13 receptions for 123 yds and 1 of those TDs. RB Michael Turner rushed for 1 additional TD. Falcons have a top 5 rated defense. Prediction: Falcons

New England Patriots (3-2) vs Seattle Seahawks (3-2)

Patriots come in off a win last week against the Broncos at home. QB Tom Brady completed 23 of 31 for 223 yds for 1 TD with WR Wes Welker making 13 receptions for 104 yds and the lone TD. RB Stevan Ridley rushed for 151 yds on 28 carries and 1 additional TD. Patriots defense has played more consistently this year. Seahawks come in off a win last week against the Panthers in Carolina. QB Russell Wilson completed 19 of 25 for 221 yds, 1 TD and 2 INTs with WR Golden Tate making the lone TD reception. Seahawks defense has played inconsistent from week to week. Prediction: Patriots

Buffalo Bills (2-3) vs Arizona Cardinals (4-1)

Bills come in off a loss last week against the 49ers in San Francisco. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 1 INT and 0 TDs. The running game was shut down completely. Bills defense is anemic. Cardinals come in off a loss last week against the Rams in St. Louis. QB Kevin Kolb threw for 289 yds but did not complete a single TD. RB Ryan Williams was held to just 33 yds. Cardinals defense struggled last week but should bounce back this week. Prediction: Cardinals

Minnesota Vikings (4-1) vs Washington Redskins (2-3)

Vikings come in off a win last week against the Titans at home. QB Christian Ponder completed 25 of 35 for 258 yds, 2 TDs and 2 INTs with WR Percy Harvin making 8 receptions for 108 yds and 1 of those TDs. Vikings defense has been solid so far. Redskins come in off a loss last week against the Falcons at home. QB Robert Griffin III was injured during the game and is questionable for this week. RB Alfred Morris rushed for 115 yds on 18 carries but 0 TDs. Redskins defense has to find a way to avoid being run on in the closing quarter. Prediction: Vikings

New York Giants (3-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (4-1)

Giants come in off a win last week against the Browns at home. QB Eli Manning completed 25 of 37 for 259 yds, 3 TDs and 1 INT with WR Victor Cruz catching all 3 TDs. RB Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 200 yds on 30 carries and 1 additional TD. Giants defense got off to a slow start this season but has been impressive in the last game. 49ers come in off a win last week against the Bills at home. QB Alex Smith completed 18 of 24 for 303 yds and 3 TDs with WR Michael Crabtree making 6 receptions for 113 yds and 1 of those TDs. RB Frank Gore rushed for 106 yds on 14 carries and 1 additonal TD. 49ers have 1 of the best defenses in the league. Prediction: 49ers

Green Bay Packers (2-3) vs Houston Texans (5-0)

Packers come in off a loss last week against the Colts in Indianapolis. QB Aaron Rodgers completed 20 of 32 for 235 yds, 3 TDs and 1 INT. Their running game was shut down, but their defense has played so so from week to week. Texans come in off a win last week against the Jets in New York. QB Matt Schaub completed 14 of 28 for 209 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT with TE Owen Daniels making the lone TD catch. RB Arian Foster rushed for 152 yds on 29 carries and 1 additional TD. Texans defense is one of the best in the league. Prediction: Texans

Denver Broncos (2-3) vs San Diego Chargers (3-2)

Broncos come in off a loss last week against the Patriots in New England. QB Peyton Manning completed 31 of 44 for 337 yds and 3 TDs with WR Eric Decker catching 1 of them. Broncos defense is extremely inconsistent especially on their line. Chargers come in off a loss last week against the Saints in New Orleans. QB Philip Rivers completed 27 of 42 for 354 yds, 2 TDs and 1 INT. RB Ryan Matthews rushed for 1 additional TD. Chargers defense is tough against their own division but lack overall consistency. Prediction: Chargers
