Vikings sign tight end Kyle Rudolph to four-year contract extension

After weeks of trade rumors, the Vikings ended all speculation on the future of Kyle Rudolph in Minnesota.

On Monday night, Adam Schefter reported that the Vikings had signed their 29-year-old tight end to a four-year $36 million contract extension. Rudolph will sign the deal on Tuesday morning.

The two time Pro Bowler has spent his entire eight year NFL career with Minnesota and has amassed 386 receptions for 3,787 receiving yards and 41 receiving touchdowns.

Rudolph took to his Twitter to express his excitement for his new deal:

Rudolph was set to become a free agent next season but now will remain with the Vikings for the foreseeable future.
