Redskins sign Matt Ioannidis to a three-year extension

Matt Ionnidis is staying put in Washington for several more years.

On Thursday the 25 year old defensive end signed a three-year contract extension with the Redskins.

The new deal is worth $21.75 million with $14 million in guaranteed money and a max value of $24.75 million with incentives.

In his three year NFL career the 6'3/308 pound Temple graduate has amassed 66 tackles, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery.
