Rookie Watch- Tony Moeaki

Kansas City Chiefs lead the AFC West division by a half game. This team is looking good each week behind the strong arm of their QB Matt Cassel. One of Cassel's new favorite targets is rookie tight end Tony Moeaki.

Moeaki was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL draft in 2010. He finished his college career at Iowa with 76 receptions for 953 yds and 11 TDs and was considered one of the top tight end prospects coming out of college. Since losing TE Tony Gonzalez two years ago, the Chiefs have been looking for a big strong powerful blocking and catching tight end to fill in the void left behind. Moeaki is 6'3/252 with size and speed. So far this season with the Chiefs he has 30 catches for 344 yds and 2 TDs but has also been a consistent blocker. With Chiefs playing well, Moeaki should have a bright future in the league.
