Week 3 Predictions

Last week I finished a mediocre 8-8. Let's see if we can improve..

New York Giants (1-1) vs Carolina Panthers (1-1)

Giants come in off a win last week to the Buccaneers at home. QB Eli Manning got off to a terrible start, throwing 3 INTs but finished the game completing 31 of 51 passes for 510 yds and 3 TDs. He will be without his RB Ahmad Bradshaw & WR Hakeem Nicks due to injuries for this game. Panthers come in off a suprising win last week again the Saints at Home. QB Cam Newton finished the game 14 of 20 for 253 yds and 1 TD. Unfortunately he will be without his second running back by committee back Jonathan Stewart who is out with an injury as well. Expect a pass happy game. Prediction: Giants

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) vs Indianapolis Colts (1-1)

Jags come in off a loss to the Texans last week at home. QB Blaine Gabbert was injured in last week's game but will start against the Colts this week. RB Maurice Jones-Drew has only rushed for 137 yds so far this season so will need to pick it up if the Jags have any hope of winning a game this season.  Colts come in off a win last week against the Vikings at home.  QB Andrew Luck completed 20 of 31 passes for 224 yds & 2 TDs with WR Reggie Wayne catching 1 of them. Their defense looked good against the Vikings and if they can keep the pressure up against Jones-Drew should get the win. Prediction: Colts

Buffalo Bills (1-1) vs Cleveland Browns (0-2)

Bills come in off a win last week against the Chiefs at home. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 10 of 19 passes for 178 yds & 2 TD. RB CJ Spiller rushed 123 yds on 15 carries and an additional 2 TDs. They're defense had an outstanding game against a very weak opponent. Browns come in off a loss to the Bengals last week in Cincinnati. Rookie QB Brandon Weeden completed 26 of 37 for 322 yds & 2 TDs. Rookie RB Trent Richardson rushed for 109 yds on 19 carries & 1 TD. These teams are evenly matched on defense, but with Richardson probable for the game, Bills should be able to get the win. Prediction: Bills

NY Jets (1-1) vs Miami Dolphins(1-1)

New York Jets come in off a loss last week against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. QB Mark Sanchez completed 10 of 27 for 138 yds & 1 TD but was injured during the game and is probable for tomorrow. They also have S LaRon Landry & CB Darelle Revis probable on defense so may have some struggles. Dolphins come in off a shocking blowout win against the Raiders at home last week. Rookie QB Ryan Tannehill completed 18 of 30 for 200 yds and 1 TD & RB Reggie Bush rushed for 172 yds on 26 carries and 2 TDs. There defense looked stellar last week. With so many injuries to the Jets, this game may end up being a closer one than anticipated. Prediction: Jets

Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) vs New Orleans Saints (0-2)

Chiefs come in off a loss last week against the Bills in Buffalo. QB Matt Cassel completed 23 of 42 for 301 yds & 1 TD. RB Jamaal Charles has yet to rush for a TD this season and is probable for this game with an injury. Saints come in off a surprising loss against the Panthers last week in Carolina. QB Drew Brees was picked off twice last week. This team has been lost without head coach Sean Payton but should be able to beat the Chiefs. Prediction: Saints

Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) vs Washington Redskins (1-1)

Bengals come in off a win while Redskins off a loss. This should be a good game that the Redskins should be able to win. Prediction: Redskins

Detroit Lions (1-1) vs Tennessee Titans (0-2)

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) vs Oakland Raiders (0-2)

Houston Texans (2-0) vs Denver Broncos (1-1)

Texans come in off a win last week against the Jaguars in Jacksonville while the Broncos come in off a loss against the Falcons in Atlanta. Broncos are tough to beat at home, but Texans have a high powered offense. Prediction: Texans
