Kendell Beckwith won't be hitting the field in 2019.
On Friday the Buccaneers placed the 24-year-old linebacker on the reserve/non-football injury list for 2019, ending his season before it began.
Beckwith suffered a fractured ankle injury in a car accident on April 12, 2018. The injury required surgery but has not fully healed even after a full year of recovery. It is becoming increasingly likely Beckwith will never play in the NFL again.
In his only year of playing for the Buccaneers, the 6’3, 247 pound LSU alum amassed 73 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. Though the door hasn't completely closed on his return to the field, this won't be the season for that to happen.
