On Tuesday ESPN reported that Chargers wide receiver was signing a one-year contract extension with the team. The deal includes a $3 million signing bonus and reduces his 2019 base salary from $5.25 million to $1 million.
In his seven year NFL career the 29-year-old has amassed 202 receptions for 3,113 receiving yards and 19 receiving touchdowns along with 1,674 return yards and four return touchdowns.
The new deal locks Benjamin in with the Chargers through 2020.
